20 september 2023 (day of arrival)

I feel comfort, love & fresh air

I feel excitement & mourning in my bones

sirens blasting, horns honking away outside my window with a city vista

mountains peak at me in the distance; reminding me of home

where I left most of my heart but came here to gain a new addition

full of wanderlust and adventure

21 september 2023

waves of familiarity in a place so far from home

remind me that we all share this human experience

regardless of what continent we are on

some of us follow different rules, but none of us are living the wrong way

isn’t it funny the way the universe listens to the desires of our hearts?

we hope and we pray and we dream while the higher powers silently take action

eavesdropping on our soul’s wishes; taking note of our efforts

& somehow we always end up right where we need to be

surrounded by those who fill us up and raise our vibrations;

those who match our energy and make us feel the omnipresent power that is the magic of love

it’s almost as if this unworldly power will work in our favor

if only we let it

it is both terrifying and beautiful to delve into a new life

so much freedom to recreate who you are yet there is a great absence of the comfort you feel in your old ways

is there a balance? a perfect amount of change to undergo?

do you lose yourself while still clinging to the bits of yourself that you have fallen in love with?

change is inevitable, they say, but change can be hard to embrace

because what happens if that change makes you realize that you are not who you thought you were

i’ve taken the plunge into unknown waters

but now it is time to swim; to dive deeper and push my limits

I know my body can take it, but my heart and my mind are racing

my body numb & immobile

but with the slightest flutter of courage

i will begin to float

and i will start to kick against my fear of the unknown

And now (of course), some pictures (:
